I call to Baduhenna of the wildwood grove,
Baduhenna who heartened the tribes of Frisia,
beset by foes, whose gift of a strong arm
and a staunch spirit brought victory and fame.
Baduhenna, goddess of the bloodied field,
of the battle-worn forest that bears your name,
you know well the worth of honor and its cost,
you know well the might of life as it soaks
into the earth, crimson on the mossy ground.
Baduhenna, nourisher of the young,
sustainer of the innocent, granter of favor
to the faithful and the brave, I honor you.
