Coventina, lady of the deep waters,
well-revered in ancient days, goddess of the north,
your people journeyed far in the wide world,
carrying with them your name and their trust.
Many were the offerings made into your well,
many the prayerful words, spoken with feeling,
spoken with faith, many the coins and rings
and pretty things, given you in thanks for your blessings.
Lovely one, gracious one, guardian of travelers,
healer of ills, you know the good of cool, clear water,
you know the need of men and women for comfort
and for sustenance of soul. Goddess, I honor you.
