Damona, lady of the sparkling rivers,
the seething springs that ease the ache of flesh and bone,
that soothe the souls of the weary and the wounded,
I call to you, O friend of the suffering.
Fair Damona, crowned in corn, merciful one
who so many have turned to for healing and relief,
in times long gone they spoke your name in prayer,
carved it in stone in thanks for your blessings;
still you grant your gifts to those who gather
at your temple, who bathe in your warm waters.
Deep-eyed goddess, good of heart and great of spirit,
with reverence I speak your name, I ask your favor.
