I call to Divona of waters cold and clear,
bright and noble goddess, your goodness and grace
hailed by poet and bard, held close, held dear by those
who lived upon your lands. Yours is the curve
of the riverway, a realm well bounded, long sought
by kings and soldiers, long torn by ambition
and need; yours is the wellspring, the might from which
the lives of men and women draw. O holy one,
eternal goddess, we know you in the song
of water on stone, in the ripple that gathers
sense and strength beyond its impulse. Divona,
great and glorious goddess, I praise and honor you.
