Great-hearted goddess, Erecura of field and vale,
Erecura who knows the warmth of sod and soil
on bare feet, who knows the light of the noonday sun
and the gentle dark of the life beyond life.
I call to you, Erecura, mistress of the earth,
of the seeds we plant in the good black ground,
of the graves we dig in the dirt and the clay,
gracious one, merciful one who is our guide
through all our life’s long journey, who is our friend
in times of joy and sorrow. Erecura, bearer
of the bountiful horn, you gladden our spirits,
you comfort our souls; I praise and honor you.
