I call to Glanis of the ancient city,
Glanis of the shining waters, great-hearted one
whose altar stood in the white-walled temple,
the jewel of the city that bore your name.
O life-giving god, yours was the sacred spring,
bright-glinting in the midday sun, yours the gift
of wholeness, of a hale and hearty body,
a spirit free of ill; yours it is to heal the wound,
to cure the malady, to restore the feeble
and the frail, to ease the pain of the suffering.
To Glanis who grants the greatest of treasures,
I offer you my praise, I honor your calling.
