Leherennus of the mountains, I call to you,
O god of the hinterland, the land of many names,
whose shrine stood shining and tall in times long past,
whose strength and goodness were well known, who stood watch
as Caesar’s men strode through your domain, as they carried
your name and your renown to distant realms.
Leherennus, your glory grew with the passing
years, your fame and repute spanned the ancient peaks:
long gone are your tribes, yet still your people flourish;
long silent are their voices, yet still you answer
when they call. O god of the fair and lonely hills,
Leherennus, I praise you, I honor your might.
