I call to Lenus, great one of the Treveri,
bright-helmed god of many charges, sharp of sword
and swift of stroke, bearer of spear and shield; likewise
I call to Lenus the healer, gentle-handed one,
finest of physicians, whose temples stood bright and broad
in Gaul of old, fine and shining sanctuaries,
a comfort to the ailing and the weary.
Helpmate of fair Ancamna, friend of the watery nymphs,
your good will and might bring peace and plenty,
your sweet-water springs grant vigor and strength.
O Lenus whose hand it is that keeps all ill at bay,
I praise your name, O god; I honor your calling.
