I raise my voice in prayer to you, O noble Moccus,
chief of the hunter, master of the bristling boar,
friend of those who braced the spear against the earth,
who stood their ground on the blood-soaked sod.
Friend of the clever swineherd, counsel of kings,
great-hearted Moccus, patron of the feast,
you grant your gifts to those who make their own way,
who know the worth of work. Long stood your city
on the silvery stone, long have your people
found favor and fame in the wide, abounding world,
long have they carried your blessing. I call to you,
O Moccus, I offer you my homage and my praise.
