Sequana of the springs, of water good and sweet,
Sequana of the river-mouth, the fabled Seine
that gives life to the land, goddess whose gentle arms
hold the wounded and the ill, bringing healing
and comfort to those in need, I call to you.
Many were the offerings, finely-crafted figures
of silver and bronze, given you in thanks and praise.
Many were the women and men who by your will
and kindness lived lives long and filled with happiness.
Sequana, bright-crowned goddess, of health and wholeness
you know well; O granter of strength and vigor,
I honor your goodness, I honor your might!
