I call to Vihansa who hallows the deeds of men,
Vihansa of the battlefield, great goddess
of shield and spear. In times long gone did soldiers
place their trust in you; the passing years have cast
their shadows, kept your secrets, yet your name,
your lands, the children of your children thrive.
Yours is the healing spring, frothing, roiling, scalding;
yours the golden grain, rooted in the bloodied soil,
for life feeds upon life, as it has always done.
Vihansa whose blessings fall on the defender,
the warrior, the sentinel, the keeper of peace,
ever-watchful goddess, I praise and honor you.
